Malvern Museum is conveniently
located in the centre of Great Malvern, just off Belle Vue Terrace. Housed in the medieval Priory Gatehouse, exhibits include artifacts relating to Malvern's development as a spa, geology, Malvern radar and cars and Malvern's heritage dating from the times of St Werstan the Martyr who established a hermits cell here in the 11th century. The Museum is staffed by volunteers and details of opening times can be obtained
from the Tourism Information Office nearby or from the notice posted at the
Museum. During the summer the Museum is open throughout the weekends as well as
weekdays. Of particular interest to spa enthusiasts will be the collection of water cure artifacts and the 19th century application of Malvern's remarkable spring waters for healing a variety of ailments. There are also a number of interesting local history publications available at the Museum, especially detailing some of the famous people associated with the locality in
the past, many of whom came to take the cure. To find out more about Malvern's famous springs and wells and the Friends who care for them click the panel left.
